Tyler graduated from Paul Smith’s College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate. During college, Tyler worked for Cornell University’s maple research station at the Uihlein Forest in Lake Placid, New York.
In the summer of 2012, Tyler was hired by Redstart as an invasive plant and forest technician; he spent that winter working for a local maple syrup producer. After that, Tyler joined Redstart full-time as a forester and began marking timber sales, consulting with landowners, and carrying out a variety of other natural resource projects.
Tyler enjoys spending his free time hunting, fishing, camping, and sugaring. He and his fiancé recently bought a house in Corinth, VT.
