Althea graduated from SUNY-ESF in 2012 with a degree in Conservation Biology. Since graduating she worked in the natural resources field doing an assortment of botany and forestry related work throughout the western U.S. before returning to Vermont, where she grew up.
After a short stint working with Redstart in 2012, Althea joined Redstart in 2018 as a seasonal crew member and her responsibilities quickly grew from there. Her position has since developed into her current role of undertaking a variety of tasks including natural resources and forestry consulting, forestry and invasive plant inventory work, and management of the seasonal field crew.
At home, she enjoys gardening, growing hops, and running a farmstead with her husband, Jeff, in Springfield, VT.
